DAY 1 :

JAKARTA - BANYUWANGI - KALIBARU - POS 3

Take first flight from Jakarta (07.05) expecting arrive Banyuwangi in 08.35, pick up by local car toward Raung Basecamp via Kalibaru, Rest and Lunch on arrival at Raung Basecamp - Wonorejo - Repacking - bring only the essential and leave other stuff here. Transfer to Pos 1 by local motorbike. 13.00 continue hike to POS 3 (expect arrive in 19.00) having dinner then overnight in tent. (L/D)

DAY 2 :

  POS 3 - POS 7 (or POS 9)

07.00 Morning brekfast then hike about six hours the long way up and up. Lunc on the track, target POS 7 (-+ 14.00). Camp and rest here (continue until POS 9 will see the situation then decide on the spot). (B/L/D)

DAY 3 :

POS 7 - TRUE SUMMIT - POS 7

Summit attack 02.00 team hike to Puncak Bendera the point where climbers start wearing harness, descender, ascender and helmet. From this point we walk on the edge follow the amazing step to Puncak Tusuk Gigi, continue till end up at True Summit of Mt. Raung 3344 masl (usually takes 5 hours). Return to POS 7 use the same route. Usually arrive in 16.00, rest and overnight. (B/L/D)

DAY 4 :

POS 7 - RAUNG BASECAMP at WONOREJO

Morning after breakfast direct down hike. Stop lunch somewhere on route. Target arrive POS 1 at 13.00, continue by motorbike to Basecamp then pick up by car to Raung Basecamp - Wonorejo, clean up, dinner and rest. (B/L/D)

DAY 5 : 

RAUNG BASECAMP - KALIBARU - BANYUWANGI

05.00 wake up - breakfast then transfer to Banyuwangi by car. End of trip. (B)

  • The trekking will take long time with path steep, including cold temperatures and high altitude factors. For that physical endurance, the readiness to overcome fatigue needs to be trained
